Abstract:
This gripping device is configured to include gripping portions 3 which are provided with a plurality of base portions 4 and a plurality of resilient bodies 5 provided at distal ends of the base portions 4, and which grip a target object, wherein: each resilient body 5 includes a main body portion 6 having a lattice structure; the plurality of resilient bodies 5 are disposed in such a way that surfaces thereof on the target object A side face one another; and the gripping portions 3 grip the target object A by means of an expanding and contracting motion of the plurality of base portions 4. In this way, variability in the shape of the target object and variability in positional control of the grip portion is absorbed, sufficient frictional force is provided, and the target object can be gripped stably.
