Abstract:
This gripping device is provided with a rod section (2) which is capable of moving vertically along a rod axis (O), and at the lower end of which a connecting block (41) is mounted; a pair of opening and closing lever sections (3) which are disposed in such a way as to face each other along the direction of a lateral axis (L1), and intermediate sections (3c) of which are pivoted to support point shaft sections (50) that are parallel to a longitudinal axis (L2); and a link mechanism (4) which connects together the connecting block and the upper ends (3a) of the opening and closing lever sections, and swings the opening and closing lever sections in the lateral axis direction in conjunction with vertical movement of the rod section. In the opening and closing lever sections, cutout sections (55) are formed at least in portions of areas extending from the intermediate sections to the upper ends. The pair of opening and closing lever sections are disposed in such a way as to face each other in the lateral axis direction in a state where the rod section and the connecting block are made to enter the cutouts. The upper ends of the pair of opening and closing lever sections are located on both sides of the rod section and the connecting block along the longitudinal axis direction.
