Abstract:
Provided is a grommet having a novel structure with which the insertion force for insertion into a through-hole can be reduced, and the holding force with respect to the through-hole can be improved. This grommet 10 is equipped with: a smaller-diameter cylinder section 14 secured to the outer circumferential surface of a wire harness 12; a larger-diameter cylinder section 20 secured to a through-hole 18 of a securing member 16; and an increased-diameter cylinder section 22 providing a link between the smaller-diameter cylinder section 14 and the larger-diameter cylinder section 20. The increased-diameter cylinder section 22 has a smaller-diameter-cylinder-section-side end part 32 provided on the outer circumferential side of the smaller-diameter cylinder section 14 with a distance therebetween, and a flexible connecting part 34 connecting the inner circumferential surface of the increased-diameter cylinder section 22 to the smaller-diameter cylinder section 14. Multiple contact ribs 36 protruding from the larger-diameter cylinder section 20 side toward the smaller-diameter-cylinder-section-side end part 32 and separated from each other in the circumferential direction are provided on the outer circumferential surface of the increased-diameter cylinder section 22.
