Abstract:
A grommet is provided which can suppress reductions in water stop performance without increasing the size of the grommet. This grommet (20) is provided with: an annular mounting part (21) which is fixed to the part of a vehicle body panel (11) around an insertion hole (12); and a cylindrical stress absorbing part (22) which comprises a cylindrical side wall (41) that extends from the inner periphery of the mounting part (21) to one side in the axial direction (X1), and a bottom wall (42) that at the tip of the cylindrical side wall (41) partially closes the cylindrical side wall (41). Furthermore, the grommet (20) is provided with insertion units (23, 24) which are provided integrally with the bottom wall (42) and which cover the outer periphery of a wire harness (13, 14) inserted into the insertion hole (12). The mounting part (21) has an annular seal (31) which makes close contact with the part of the vehicle body panel (11) around the insertion hole (12). The side wall (41) is flexible. The insertion units (23, 24) protrude inside of the stress absorbing part (22) from the bottom wall (42) towards the base of the side wall (41).
