Abstract:
Provided is a technique for determining equations and parameters used for growth prediction calculations for plants and animals that do not require breeding or cultivation. When growth data of a specific outdoor plant or animal and weather observation data (180) are input, all parameters other than coefficients of a plurality of growth model equations will first of all vary. Next, reciprocals of coefficients corresponding to combined conditions of values of all parameters other than the coefficients in the growth model equations are estimated, and an average value or a median value of the estimated values is fixed as a value unique to the target species. Subsequently, an integrated growth rate is calculated, and a combination of an appropriate growth rate speed model equation and values of parameters is selected by cross-verification. Furthermore, a search is conducted for a combination of more appropriate parameter values using a COBYLA method.
