Abstract:
This invention provides a guide bar driving force control apparatus for a warp knitting machine provided with a thumbing mechanism using a gauge piece, capable of being formed to a simplified, compact and space-saving structure by making it possible to transmit a presse-driving force for causing the overlapping displacement of guide bars to occur to a transmission rod of the thumbing mechanism collectively with respect to all guide bars and also selectively. This control apparatus is provided with a loose member capable of being displaced in the direction of movement of the transmission rod of the thumbing mechanism and adapted to be engaged with a fixed portion to restrict the displacement of the transmission rod, a gauge piece adapted to be engaged selectively with one end surface of the loose member by a selector, means, and a pressure member adapted to press the loose member via the engaged gauge piece. The pressure member is operated by a driving means to press the transmission rod via the loose member, or the pressing force applied to the transmission rod via the loose member is released, whereby overlapping displacement is generated in the transmission rod, overlapping displacement of the transmission rod thus being selected in accordance with an operation or non-operation of the gauge piece.
