Abstract:
The invention relates to a device (1) for guiding a drill used for surgery, comprising a drill hole (10) for receiving a rotating drill and a device for cooling the drill, in the form of a cooling chamber (14) which is substantially contiguous with the drill hole and through which the rotating drill is intended to pass, said cooling chamber (14) comprising an intake tube (12) for injecting a heat transfer fluid into the cooling chamber (14) and at least one discharge tube (11.1) for discharging the heat transfer fluid from the cooling chamber (14). The invention also relates to a method for designing and producing the device, comprising the use of radio-opaque markers secured at specific points of a surgical site, a three-dimensional x-ray (3D) of the surgical site on which an impression is made, and the design of a virtual model of the guide device based on the processing of the 3D x-ray data. The invention is intended for use in the field of dental surgery, orthodontics and dental implantology.
