Abstract:
A guide device (11) for a long object is provided with a protective guide section (13) and a guide rail (14). The protective guide section (13) has links (12) connected so that the links (12) can pivot relative to each other while being serially arranged. The plurality of links (12) form a containing space (SK) capable of containing a long object (TK) therein. While protecting the long object (TK) contained in the containing space (SK), the protective guide section (13) guides the long object (TK). When the protective guide section (13) reciprocates in the longitudinal direction (X) while forming a curved portion (W), the guide rail (14) reciprocates while guiding the protective guide section (13). The protective guide section (13) has a plurality of engagement sections (15). The guide rail (14) has a guide groove (16) extending in the longitudinal direction (X) so that the guide groove (16) can guide the protective guide section (13) while engaging with the plurality of engagement sections (15). When the protective guide section (13) reciprocates, the guide groove (16) prevents the plurality of engagement sections (15) from moving in the direction intersecting the longitudinal direction (X) and permits the plurality of engagement sections (15) to move in the longitudinal direction (X).
