Description:
GUITAR WHICH CAN PROVIDE MORE THAN ONE INSTRUMENT SOUND

TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention relates to a guitar embodiment which provides obtaining the sounds, obtained from instruments like guitar, oud (lute) and baglama, from a single music tool.

PRIOR ART

In classical guitar keyboard, each compartment separated from each other is named as fret. Each fret gives a musical note. Each of these musical notes corresponds to half sound in classical west music defined as temperament. In classical west music, there are twelve sounds in an octave in the temperament system. In normal classical guitar, these sounds can be obtained by pressing the frets.

Cantillatory music concept also defined as modal music exists in East Europe, North Africa, Middle East, Asia Minor, Middle and South Asia. In Far Asia, the ornaments made by fretless handles form an inseparable characteristic of this music culture. On the other hand, today, in all of these regions, equal temperament west music system becomes a more frequent music language. In terms of multiculturalism, teaching and describing the two music languages bear great importance in order to form the cultural balance.

By means of b2 fret which is the most basic special interval of the short handle baglama which is the most frequently used instrument in our culture, the segah sound in u§§ak and huseyni themes (makams) used most frequently in art music indicates the same interval which is not described in west music system. This sound is desired in the executions realized in Folk Music and Art Music.

In the present art, since there is no musical instrument which provides both guitar sound and desired b2/segah sound from baglama and fretless sound or in other words oud sound which is an infinite instrument with fret, the desired music is made by using more than one instrument. In the known state of the art, there can be both with fret and fretless double handled guitars. Even though said double handled guitars provide a partial solution to this problem, double handled guitar is difficult to carry and play and it is not possible to provide an uninterrupted passage in the sound. In the literature, there is the patent application with application number 2009/04503 and with title“Adjustable Microtonal Guitar”. In said patent application, all frets, which are normally fixed in the keyboard of classical guitar, can be fixed to and removed from the channels in the guitar keyboard and these frets can be moved downwardly and upwardly. In this invention, fretless region is not used.

In the literature, there is the utility model application with application number 2012/06056 and with title“double-sided guitar”. In said application, a double sided guitar is disclosed where one face thereof is fretless classical guitar and where the other face thereof is classical guitar with fret. In this invention, it is not clear from where b2/segah interval will be given and again uninterrupted execution is not possible.

As a result, because of all of the abovementioned problems, an improvement is required in the related technical field.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a guitar which can provide more than one instrument sound, for eliminating the above mentioned disadvantages and for bringing new advantages to the related technical field.

An object of the present invention is to provide a guitar embodiment which provides obtaining the sounds, obtained from instruments like guitar, oud and baglama, from a single music tool.

In order to realize the abovementioned objects and the objects which are to be deducted from the detailed description below, the present invention relates to a guitar having a guitar keyboard and a part with fret formed by frets provided on said guitar keyboard, in order to provide obtaining the sounds, obtained from instruments like guitar, oud and baglama, from a single music tool. Accordingly, at least one fretless part is provided on said guitar keyboard and at least one special fret is configured to be positioned between any two of said frets. Thus, the cantillatory and tonal music, obtained from instruments like guitar, oud and baglama, can be learned and executed with a single instrument.

In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, said special fret is positioned with respect to a calculated distance from the short handle connection arrangement between a first fret and a second fret from said frets. Thus, the sound with name segah/b2 can be provided which is in u§§ak and huseyni themes used frequently in art music. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the number of fret which exists in said part with fret is at most seven. Thus, a wide chord cycle opportunity in guitar is provided and the west tonal music harmony, formed by tampered sounds, can be widely utilized.

In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the number of fret which exists in said part with fret is equal to five. Thus, the basic function which must be provided in the guitar is fulfilled and the width of the fretless part can be increased.

In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the number of fret which exists in said part with fret is three. Thus, the basic function which must be provided in the guitar is fulfilled and the width of the fretless part can be increased.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURE

Figure 1 is a representative perspective view of the subject matter guitar.

Figure 2 is a representative perspective view of the subject matter guitar from a different perspective.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

In this detailed description, the subject matter guitar (1 ) is explained with references to examples without forming any restrictive effect only in order to make the subject more understandable.

In Figure 1 , a representative perspective view of the subject matter guitar (1 ) is given. The present invention relates to a guitar (1 ) embodiment which provides obtaining the sounds, obtained from instruments like guitar (1 ), oud and baglama, from a single music tool. In said guitar (1 ) embodiment, there is a guitar keyboard (10) and there is a part with fret (1 1 ) which forms the frets (1 10) provided on said guitar keyboard (10). There is a special fret (1 13) in a manner positioned between any two of said frets (1 10). There is moreover at least one fretless part (12) on the guitar keyboard (10).

In Figure 2, a representative perspective view of the subject matter guitar (1 ) from a different perspective is given. In said part with fret (1 1 ) provided in the guitar (1 ) embodiment, equal temperament tonal music which belongs to the west can be played. In the part with fret (1 1 ), there are at most seven frets (1 10). Thanks to the seven frets (1 10), a wide accord cycle opportunity is provided in the guitar (1 ). Thus, it is possible to widely utilize harmony of west tonal music formed by tampered sounds. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the number of frets (1 10) provided at the part with fret (1 1 ) can be five or three. While the basic function of the guitar (1 ) can be fulfilled in this manner, the width of the fretless part (12) can be increased.

Thanks to the fretless part (12) provided on the guitar (1 ), oud sound is obtained which provides cantillatory music. The cantillatory music, also classified as modal music, is used in East Europe, North Africa, Middle East, Asia Minor, Middle and South Asia. These ornaments executed by means of fretless handles in Far Asia form an inseparable characteristic of this music culture. Thanks to the fretless part (12) provided on the guitar (1 ), the glissando sounds of cantillatory music and of Far Asia can be played.

Thanks to the part with fret (1 1 ) and the fretless part (12) provided on the guitar (1 ), both tonal music and cantillatory music can be learned and executed by means of a single instrument.

There is a special fret (1 13) in a manner positioned between any two of the frets (1 10) on the guitar keyboard (10). In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, said special fret (1 13) is positioned at a calculated distance from the short handle connection arrangement between a first fret (1 1 1 ) and a second fret (1 12) provided in the part with fret (1 1 ). Since the special fret (1 13) is positioned at a calculated distance with respect to the short handle connection arrangement between the first fret (1 1 1 ) ad the second fret (1 12) of the special fret (1 13), sound named as segah/b2 with u§§ak and huseyni themes used mostly in art music can be provided. In Arabian and Iranian music, the desired different special sound exists. Accordingly, in an alternative embodiment of the present invention, production can be provided such that the special fret (1 13) will be positioned between any two frets (1 10) according to the desired music sound.

Thus, sounds obtained from guitar (1 ), oud, baglama and similar instruments can be provided from a single musical instrument; and cantillatory and equal temperament tonal music can be learned and executed by a single instrument.

The protection scope of the present invention is set forth in the annexed claims and cannot be restricted to the illustrative disclosures given above, under the detailed description. It is because a person skilled in the relevant art can obviously produce similar embodiments under the light of the foregoing disclosures, without departing from the main principles of the present invention.
