Abstract:
The present invention pertains to: [1] a hair cosmetic that contains a specific quaternary ammonium salt (A), a dimethylpolysiloxane (B) having Mw of 100-3000, and water, and that is used so as to be applied to hair and then rinsed, wherein the contained amount of the component (B) is 0.3-60 mass%, and the waterdrop receding contact angle (θR) measured by an expansion/contraction method, with respect to a polyethylene plate surface to which the hair cosmetic has been applied and on which a water washing process has been performed, is 82-110°; and [2] a hair processing method comprising a step (I) for applying the hair cosmetic to hair and spreading the hair cosmetic over all the hair, and a step (II) for rinsing the hair cosmetic by use of water from all the hair. When the hair cosmetic according to the present invention is used so as to be applied to hair washed with shampoo and be then rinsed, the hair cosmetic according to the present invention allows a hair drying time period to be shortened by naturally draining the water remaining in the hair by gravity as much as possible before the start of drying the hair, and thus allows the burden of drying to be reduced.
