The present invention addresses the problem of providing a hair cosmetic which has excellent spreadability upon application, also has good hair setting performance, can satisfactorily prevent the hair from becoing sticky, and can impart proper dryness to the hair after application, while keeping the natural feeling of the hair. The present invention relates to a hair cosmetic comprising (A) a volatile oily component, (B) a non-volatile oily component, (C) and a solid oily component (excluding a higher alcohol), the hair cosmetic being characterized in that the ratio of the mass of the volatile oily component (A) to the mass of the non-volatile oily component (B), i.e., (A/B), is 1.0 to 3.0, the total amount of the volatile oily component (A) and the non-volatile oily component (B), i.e., (A+B), is 24.0% by mass or more and less than 40.0% by mass, and the volatile oily component (A) contains no volatile silicone oil.
