Description:
THE HAIR CUTTING SCISSORS BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a hairdressing utensil.

2. Description of the Background Art In a conventional art, a hairdressing utensil is classified into a scissor having a streamlined blade, and a thinning scissor having a comb teeth-shaped groove in a blade portion. The above former common scissor is used for cutting hairs, and the later thinning scissor is used for thinning or trimming the hair by cutting the hair at intermediate portions of the same.

As shown in Figure 6, among the above hairdressing scissors, the conventional scissor which is used for cutting the hair includes a first blade portion 110a and a second blade portion 110b for cutting hairs based on a crossing operation, and a first handle 120a and a second handle 120b provided at a rear portion of the first and second blades 110a and 11 Ob. The first and second handles 120a and 120b are rotatably connected each other using a connection element and each include a ring shaped finger receiving portion 127 and horizontal with respect to the first and second blade portions 110a and 11 Ob.

In the above hairdressing scissor, the hair is cut in such a manner that a hairdresser inserts a thumb finger and index finger into the finger receiving portions 127 and repeatedly crosses the first and second handles 120a and 120b, so that the first blade portion 110a and second blade portion 110b are alternately crossed for thereby cutting the hair.

However, in the conventional scissor for a hairdressing, since the first and second handles are horizontal with respect to each blade portion, when a hairdresser performs a hairdressing operation, the thumb and index finger inserted into the finger receiving portions are positioned vertically with respect to each handle.

Therefore, when cutting the hair, the wrist of the hand which holds the hairdressing scissor is bent and distanced from an arm. In this state, a certain work time is passed, a fatigue load is concentrated on the hairdresser's wrist, arm and shoulder, so that the hairdresser's wrist, arm and shoulder become numb for thereby causing a certain pain. There is much inconvenience for the use of the conventional scissor.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a hairdressing scissor which is capable of preventing a numb and pain of a user's wrist, arm and shoulder and implements an easier use.

To achieve the above objects, there is provided a hairdressing scissor which includes a pair of blades which are hinge-crossed for thereby cutting hairs, a connection portion which is bent in a vertical direction from a cutting blade of the blades, and a handle ring which is formed in an end portion of the connection portion and has a finger insertion hole.

Here, both sides of the connection portion are protrusion-engaged to the handle ring and the blades, respectively.

In addition, a comb may be engaged to at least one of both the handles.

Furthermore, a safety pin may be provided in a lower portion of the connection portion.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS The preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

Figure 1 is a perspective view illustrating a hairdressing scissor according to a first embodiment of the. present invention. As shown therein, a hairdressing scissor according to the present invention includes a first blade portion 10a and a second blade portion 10b which are engaged by a hinge 23 and are crossed each other for thereby cutting hairs, a first handle ring 20a and a second handle ring 20b which are formed in a rear portion of each of the first and second blade portions 10a and 10b, and connection portions 22a and 22b for connecting the blade portions 10a and 10b and the handle rings 20a and 20b.

Here, the first and second blade portions 10a and 10b, the handle rings 20a and 20b and the connection portions 22a and 22b may be formed of a metallic material. In another embodiment of the present invention, the blade portions 10a and 10b are formed of a metallic material, and the handle rings 20a and 20b and the connection portions 22a and 22b may be formed of a plastic material.

A ring shaped finger insertion hole 27 is formed in each of the handle

rings 20a and 20b in order for a user's finger to be inserted thereinto. In addition, the connection portions 22a and 22b are bent in a vertical direction with respect to a cutting surface of the blade portions 10a and 10b. The finger insertion holes 27 of the handle rings 20a and 20b are formed in a vertical direction with respect to the cut surface of the blade portions 10a and 10b. At this time, the connection portions 22a and 22b may be formed perpendicularly with respect to each blade portion and may be bent in a vertical direction to have a certain angle.

In addition, an outwardly protruded finger support protrusion 29 is preferably formed in one of the handle rings 20a and 20b. The above finger support protrusion 29 supports one finger which is not inserted in the finger insertion holes 27 among the fingers. In addition, the safety pin (80a of Figures 5a and 5b) is formed in at least one portion among the connection portions 22a and 22b for preventing the opposite finger of the finger which holds the hairdressing scissor from being cut during the hairdressing work. As shown in Figure 5, the above safety pin 80a may be outwardly protruded from a lower surface of the connection portion 22a like comb teeth. In the above construction, it is possible to cut the fingers in such a manner that the opposite finger of the finger which holds the hair is avoided from the first and second blade portions 10a and 10b by the safety pin 80a when the hairdresser cuts the hairs.

With the thusly constituted construction, when cutting the hair using the hairdressing scissor according to the present invention, the hairdresser's

finger (for example, the hairdresser's thumb and index finger) inserted into the finger insertion hole 27 are positioned in horizontal with respect to the blade portions 10a and 10b.

Therefore, when cutting the hairs, the wrist of the hand which holds the hairdressing scissor is not bent but is closely contacted with the body of the arm, so that a certain weight is not concentrated onto the hairdresser's wrist, arm and shoulder. Therefore, in the present invention, it is possible to prevent a numb and pain in the hairdresser's wrist, arm and shoulder, and the hairdressing scissor may be effectively used.

Figure 2 is a perspective view illustrating a hairdressing scissor according to a second embodiment of the present invention. As shown therein, the hairdressing scissor according to the present invention has the same construction as the hairdressing scissor of Figure 1. In this embodiment, there is further provided a comb 30 which is detachably engaged to one among the first and second handle rings 20a and 20b. The above comb 30 may be engaged to the first or second handle ring 20a and 20b in various methods. However, as shown in the drawings, in this embodiment of the present invention, the comb 30 is preferably detachably engaged to the finger support protrusion 29 which is formed in one among the handle rings 20a and 20b. Therefore, an insertion groove 33 into which the finger support protrusion 29 is inserted is formed in one side of the comb 30.

Industrial Usability of the invention In the present invention, the first and second handle rings each having a finger insertion hole and a certain angle with respect to a cut surface are provided, so that the wrist of the hand which holds the hairdressing scissor is not bent when cutting the hairs and is closely contacted with the body of the arm. Therefore, it is possible to effectively prevent a numb and pain in the user's wrist, arm and shoulder. In addition, it is possible to. conveniently use the hairdressing scissor.

In the above descriptions of the embodiments of the present invention, the common hairdressing scissor having the first and second blade portions each having a smooth blade are described as one embodiment. The concepts of the present invention may be adapted to various scissors such as a thinning scissor in which a comb teeth shaped groove is formed in a blade portion.

As described above, in the present invention, it is possible to prevent a numb and pain in a user's wrist, arm and shoulder, and it is possible to conveniently use the hairdressing scissor.
