Description:
HAIR CUTTING SCISSORS Technical Field The present invention relates to a hair cutting scissors, and in particular to a hair cutting scissors in which a hand holding a scissors works in the same direction as a processing direction of the scissors.

Background Art Figures 1 and 2 are views illustrating a conventional hair cutting scissors. In a scissors 5, a blade 22 and 20 is formed in an extension of a support portion 10 and 12. The support portion 10 and 12 is rotatable about a center of a rotary shaft 14. A holding portion 16 and 18 into which a finger is inserted is formed in an end portion of the support portion 10 and 12.

As shown in Figure 2, in the above scissors 5, a cutting operation is performed in such a manner that a wrist 11 is bent in an upper direction of the scissors 5, and an elbow 13 works a posture distanced from an upper body 15 of a user, so that the user easily feels a fatigue.

In order to overcome a mechanical structure of the scissors and arm, a

scissors 30 of Figure 3 is developed. In the scissors 30 of Figure 3, a blade 32 and 31 is formed in an extension of a support portion 40 and 42. The support portion 40 and 42 rotates about a center of the rotary shaft 34. A holding portion 47 and 48 into which a worker's finger is inserted has a bent portion 41 and 43 and is formed in an end portion of the bent portion 41 and 43.

In the above scissors 30, an arm may be positioned in a lower side of the scissors. Since there is a bent portion 41 and 43, the entire length is too extended together with the length of the support portion 40 and 42. Therefore, the accuracy in a work is decreased. In addition, since the center of the holding portion 47 and 48 is matched with the support portion 40 and 42, a width between the holding portions is decreased, and a width of the motion of the fingers is decreased.

Disclosure of the Invention Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to overcome the above conventional problems. It is another object of the present invention to provide a hair cutting scissors in which a holding portion is positioned vertically in an outer side of the support portion, and a hair cutting operation is implemented using three fingers (thumb, middle finger, and ring finger).

To achieve the above objects, as an example of a hair cutting scissors according to the present invention, in a scissors which includes a support portion, and a blade in an extension of the support portion, the support portion being rotatable about a rotary shaft of the support portion, a holding portion is extended vertically in an outer side of a center line of the support portion, and two holding portions are formed vertically in an outer side of a center line of the support portion.

In addition, an engaging portion is further formed in the holding portion.

The engaging portion may be further provided in the support portion.

Brief Description of the Drawings The present invention will become better understood with reference to the accompanying drawings which are given only by way of illustration and thus are not limitative of the present invention, wherein; Figure 1 is a plan view illustrating a conventional hair cutting scissors; Figure 2 is a view illustrating a state of use of a scissors of Figure 1; Figure 3 is a perspective view illustrating a conventional bending type hair cutting scissors in a conventional art.; Figure 4 is a perspective view illustrating a hair cutting scissors

according to the present invention; Figure 5 is a view illustrating a state of use of a hair cutting scissors according to the present invention; and Figure 6 is a partial perspective view illustrating a hair cutting scissors according to another embodiment of the present invention.

Best Mode for Carrying Our the Invention The embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

Referring to Figure 4, there is shown a hair cutting scissor according to the present invention.

In the hair cutting scissors according to the present invention, a blade 62 and 61 is formed in an extension of the support portion 66 and 68.

A holding portion 72 is vertically extended in an outer side of a center line A of the support portion 66, and a thumb is inserted into the holding portion 72.

The holding portion 72 may be movable upwardly and downwardly in the support portion 66. For example, a hole 78 is formed in the support portion 66 at a regular interval, and a screw 76 is provided in the holding portion 72 and

is inserted into the hole 78 and is then fixed using a nut 77. Furthermore, a longitudinal groove may be formed instead of the hole.

Two holding portions 80 and 84 are vertically formed in an outer side of a center line B of the other support portion 68. An engaging portion of the holding portions 80 and 84 is positioned in the center line B.

A mid finger is inserted into the holding portion 80, and a weak finger is inserted into the other holding portion 84.

The holding portion 80 further includes an engaging portion 82. An index finger (second finger from the thumb) which is not inserted into the holding portion is supported therein. Instead of forming the engaging portion 82, another holding portion may be further formed.

In addition, after the mid finger is inserted into the holding portion 80, the support portion 68 may have an engaging portion 69 for convenience of the index finger.

The length of the support portion 66 is shorter than the length of the other support portion 68, and there is provided an extension portion 74 which is shown in a conventional scissors.

The operation of the hair cutting scissor according to the present invention will be described.

When the scissors is placed horizontally, the hands are positioned like

shaking hands, and then the thumb is inserted into the holding portion 72, and the mid finger and the weak finger are inserted into the holding portions 80 and 84, respectively.

The index finger is positioned in the engaging portion 82, and an end of the index finger is positioned in the engaging portion 69.

In this state, when the thumb is moved, a hair cutting work is implemented. In the above cutting state, since an elbow is closely contacted with the upper body, so that it is possible to decrease the fatigue of the user. In addition, since the proceeding direction of the blade is the same as the proceeding direction of the palm of the hand, a fatigue to the wrist is decreased for thereby implementing an easier cutting operation.

Industrial Applicability As described above, the hair cutting scissor according to the present invention is capable of implementing many cutting techniques because the wrist is freely moved. For example, even when the scissors is positioned in an upright direction, it is possible to implement a good cutting work. Namely, the wrist is freely moved.

In addition, since three fingers are used, it is possible to implement a

good work accuracy and high speed cutting work compared to the conventional art in which two fingers are used.

As described above, the above description is one embodiment for implementing a hair cutting scissors according to the present invention. The present invention is not limited to the above embodiment. As the present invention may be embodied in several forms without departing from the spirit or essential characteristics thereof, it should also be understood that the above- described examples are not limited by any of the details of the foregoing description, unless otherwise specified, but rather should be construed broadly within its spirit and scope as defined in the appended claims, and therefore all changes and modifications that fall within the meets and bounds of the claims, or equivalences of such meets and bounds are therefore intended to be embraced by the appended claims.
