Abstract:
A hair iron (10), comprising a holding body (11) formed by pivotally connecting two arms (11a) and (11b) to each other so as to be rotated relative to each other and a hair holding part (13) having a hair receiving member (13a) and a hair pressing member (13b). Heating plates (15a) and (15b) opposite to each other are installed on the hair receiving member (13a) and the hair pressing member (13b). The hair receiving member (13a) comprises a recessed part receiving hair and the inner surface of the recessed part is formed in a U-shape having a curved surface (14c) and two side-surfaces (14a) and (14b) continued with the curved surface. The outer surface of the hair pressing member (13b) is formed in such a shape that comprises a curved surface (14f) and two side-surfaces (14d) and (14e) continued with the curved surface so that the hair can be pressed against the inner surface of the recessed part of the hair receiving member for holding the hair. The heating plates (15a) and (15b) opposite to each other are installed at specified positions on either of the opposed side surfaces of these members.
