Title:
HAIR AND LITTLE RESIDUES REMOVER FROM STRAINERS, BATHTUBES, BRUSHES AND SIMILAR ONES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2008/124905
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present utility model refers to a hair remover, little wastes of strainers comprised by a cylindrical rod or dipstick (1), in whose ends there is an adherent material available along the rod or dipstick (1); its other end can be thicker than the precious one and it can have folds to guarantee a better adherence during the use of the said remover. Through action of the operator, the end of the remover containing the adherent material (2) gets in frictional touch with hairs and other residues enabling to capture them and consequently to take them from the undesirable places, such as strainers, brushes or similar ones, and it can be lately disposed.

CLAIMS

1. Residues remover, composed by a rod or dipstick, flexible enough to enable lateral movements, being said as the rod or smooth dipstick in great part of its length, with smooth tops, not sharp exit and resistant enough to enable back and forth movements of rotation and translation, the remover being CHARACTERIZED by having along with one of the points of the said flexible rod (1) , an adherent material (2) coupled with a rod or dipstick, through an adhesive substance or manufactured in an inherent form to the rod.

2. Remover according to the claim 1, CHARACTERIZED by the fact of one of the tips of the rod or dipstick are substantially thicker from the other point, forming a handhold or a cable (3) .

3. A remover, according to the claim 1 or 2, CHARACTERIZED by the fact that the said handhold or cable (3) have notches or folds for a better adhesion during handling.

Description:

HAIR AND LITTLE RESIDUES REMOVER FROM STRAINERS, BATHTUBES, BRUSHES AND SIMILAR ONES

The present utility model has as objective to present a model of a tool to free pipes in general, more specifically to extract hair and little residues from strainers, bathtubs, brushes and similar devices, of easy handling and better efficiency in relation to the other existing products of similar action. General description of the state of art:

Home strainers and sinks are widely used for domestic hygiene of their users, usually required for outflow of little solid residues. Such solid residues, such as hairs, threads are sometimes combined, generating clogging, impeding and obstructing flow passage and causing difficulties and discomfort for the user.

For removal of these little residues and waste from strainers and similar, there are several kinds of plungers that vary from: - Strainers plungers with nozzle of latex material using to and fro action with the aim of causing vacuum in piping, and that, however, the use of such plungers present little efficiency in removing little residues;

- Steel spiral with crank in the tip with length of 2.5 m which needs a continuous rotation movement and of

great effort on the part of the operator. It is efficient to remove big objects, but inefficient and not practical for small residues, such as hairs and similar objects, being of difficult cleaning and storing after its use; - Liquid cleaning products or similar ones of strong chemical action aiming at chemically dissolve the existing waste. Such products have easy application, but several problems, as several risks for the person that handles it, doubtful efficiency for objects that are not dissolved with easiness, such as plastics, hairs etc. Besides this, the use of these chemical products have a delayed time of action, which impairs the use of strainer, generates risks for children and animals during storing and, finally, in some cases, cause pollution to the aquifers. Description of the main objectives and advantages of the present model :

The object of the present utility model intends to describe has as main features to efficiently solve the difficulties described above presented by the other objects and devices known in arts.

To reach such objectives and to exceed disadvantages found in objects known in art, a tool has been created to remove debris and dust in pipes, more specifically from sink in strainers, which is efficient in removing the above residues, being of quick action and enabling the access and

use of strainer, however, meeting the objectives.

One another advantage of the present model is the fact of being of easy application, use and handling, requiring less effort and technical knowledge for the user; besides of being easy to store, possibly disposable and, consequently, easy to clean.

It is also another advantage of this present model the fact of representing little risk of accidents for the users or people and animals that have contact or make use of the model .

In addition, the object of the present model has benefits to the industry for having low cost of production and distribution, which presents advantage to the final consumer, as a consequence. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

Figures 1 and 2 are views in perspective that illustrate the present model object with and without handholds, respectively.

Figure 3 illustrates lateral and superior views of the present model;

Figures 4 and 5 show the object of this present utility model working illustrating its use; and

Figure 5 illustrates the object of invention full of residues after its use.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE UTILITY MODEL As it can be observed by the figures enclosed, the object of this present utility model is basically composed of a rod 1 or dipstick (not illustrated) which can be seen in the figures 1, 2 and 3, possessing one of the tips of the rod or flexible dipstick, and adherent material (2) coupled in them with an adhesive substance or manufactured in an inherent form of rod or pallet, and the parts of the remover shall preferably be made of non toxic material. And one of the tips of the rod or pallet is substantially thicker than the other tip to form the handhold or cable (3) .

In addition, the rod or dipstick 1 presents the following physical characteristics: - Relatively length;

Flexible to enable lateral movements of the rod or dipstick;

Smooth along the length, of easy handhold on the part of the operator; - Resistant enough to enable back and forth movements without breaking or tearing, enabling traction and compression according to the illustrated in the figures 4 e 5;

Resistant enough to enable rotation movements in its axle in both senses (Fig. 5);

Of smooth points and not sharp-ended; Possess, along one of the points, possibly of 5 cm, an adherent material that can be better seen in the figures 1 and 2, which can be rolled as a tape coupled to the material by an adhesive substance or manufactured in an inherent for of rod or dipstick;

Produced by a non toxic substance in its use, contact or inhaling by its users or people and animals that have the model ; Figure 3 shows a drawing of the object of this present model, seen from the side and above, easily illustrating its understanding and application.

Making referent to the figures 4 and 5, the utility model of the object of this present order intends to be used in the following manner:

- Insert the rod or dipstick 1 through the tip where it finds the adherent material 2 in the strainer of the sink or similar up to where it is possible or enabled the handhold 3 on the part of the user, enabling its use and future extraction;

- During insertion or after it, the operator makes little rotation movements of continuous or alternate sense and possibly in a back and forth movement, perpendicular to the hole. During residues movement, the are being deposited in the adherent material, being captured by them;

- In the movement of invert sense to the insertion, the rod or dipstick is taken by the handhold, extracting the residues caught by the adherent material, as per seen in the figure 6. - In case the hole is subdivided, it can have its rod or dipstick reinserted if the same is not excessively "dirty" and repeat the process up to total disobstruction;

- Finally the rod or dipstick 1 can be disposed in a common dustbin by the operator; In this manner, the object of this present utility model above described meets all the objectives and advantages intended for the remover hereby described.

In view of the above, it shall be seen that various objectives of this present model shall be obtained and other advantages reached. Without running from the scope of the present, all subjects contained in the description above and showed in the drawings that follow it shall be interpreted as illustrative and not in the limitative sense .
