Abstract:
A hair straightener or straightening device is provided that includes a handle (70) adapted to be attached to a housing (50). The housing (50) has a heat transmissive plate (56) surrounded by a cover (60) formed by curved rings (61) and teeth (62), which serve to guide and tension the hair along the heat transmissive plate (56). The transmissive plate (56) is heated by hot air. The air is directed and diverted to heat the transmissive plate (56) to a temperature hot enough to straighten hair.
