Best Mode

[22] With particular reference to such figures, the hairdresser chair according to the invention has been indicated in its entirety with 1 .

[23] The chair 1 comprises a support structure 2, a backrest 3 connected with the support structure 2 and a seat 4 frontally extending with respect to the backrest 3 and connected with the support structure 2.

[24] The backrest 3 and the seat 4 are connected with the support structure 2 through an activation device, for simplicity non represented in the drawings, suitable to adjust their reciprocal inclination. The activation device can be operated, in use, by suitable operation members. Preferably, the activation device is a mechanism of the type of the parallelogram four-bar linkage.

[25] The support structure 2 comprises, in support, a wash basin 5, arranged at the top of the backrest 3. The cited activation device allows to suitably incline the backrest 3 towards the wash basin 5.

[26] At the sides of the seat 4, relative armrests 6a, 6b are placed. At least one of the armrests 6a, 6b is rotatable on a substantially vertical plane to free the access to the seat 4 for the user (see figure 6).

[27] According to a preferred embodiment, at least one arm 6b has an upper portion 7 which can be outwardly overturned; such upper portion 7 is internally provided with a plurality of seats 70 of different shape, suitable to be used for performing known manicure operations (see figure 7).

A washer 8 is rigidly connected to the seat 4, and is associated with a base 9 fixed to or integral with the same seat 4. The washer 8 is placed in front of the seat 4. Preferably, the washer 8 is arranged on the same plane of the seat 4.

In particular, the washer 8 has a bottom 10 of substantially rectangular shape, with smoothed angles, from which a perimetral wall 1 1 extends, having an upper border 12. At the upper border 12, a removable lid 13 is placed (see figure 2). Such lid 13 shapes, in use position, a continued surface with respect to the plane of the seat 4.

More in particular, the washer 8 is provided with a drain 14, placed on the bottom 10, and with an overflow-prevention device 15, arranged on the perimetral surface 1 1 . It is possible to provide that the overflow-prevention device 15 comprise a sensor, suitable to detect the presence of water, to activate the discharging pump in case the pre-set water level is exceeded.

The washer 8 comprises as well a water dispensing device, associated with the perimetral wall 1 1 , not illustrated in the figures. It is possible to provide that the water dispensing device comprise a flexible pipe for dispensing the water. A mixer 16 is arranged on a support 17 placed on the bottom 10 of the washer 8.

A hydraulic-massage device 18 is also arranged on the perimetral wall 1 1 of the washer 8, suitable to perform a hydro massage. At the perimetral wall 1 1 , externally, a plurality of buttons 19 are placed, suitable to activate respectively the hydro massage device 18 and the discharge of water.

The washer 8 can further comprise a series of lighting devices, for example of the LED type, for simplicity not illustrated in figure, arranged on the perimetral wall 1 1 and suitable to be used for chromotherapy treatments.

The functioning of the hairdresser chair is easy to understand from the preceding description.

The hairdresser chair according to the invention is frontally provided with a washer 8 which allows, when it is required, to perform pedicure operations. When it is not used for such operations, the washer 8 is provided with an upper closure lid 13 which transforms the same washer in a suitable footrest.

In use, the chair is initially set in a first position, suitable to ease the access of the user (figure 8). In such position, the seat 4 is set in a lowered configuration, with the backrest 3 suitably inclined with respect to the same seat 4. It is to be noted that, in order to facilitate the access of the user to the chair, the chair suitably makes it possible to angularly rotate the rotatable armrest 6b, to free the lateral zone of the chair (see again figure 8). After the entry of the user, the cited activation device allows to set the chair in a second position, in which the seat 4 is suitably lifted and the backrest 3 is inclined towards the wash basin 5 to facilitate the hair washing (figure 9).

In case pedicure operations are required, the user removes the lid 13 for making the washer 8 available (figure 10). The pedicure operations can thus occur also during the hair washing step.

It is to underline in particular that the chair is highly ergonomic. In fact, during the cited hair washing and pedicure operations, while a first worker is in standing position, the second worker in charge of the pedicure operations can be sitting, in front of the washer 8. This is allowed by the lifting of the seat 4 which lifts as well the washer 8, fixed to or integral with the same seat 4, to reach a working position which does not force the worker to bend, as it normally happens during this kind of operations.

Another feature of the invention is the fact that it allows the simultaneous performing of manicure operations, by using for such scope the upper portion 7 of the overturning armrest 6b (see figure 7).

The present invention therefore attains the scope of providing a hairdresser chair which allows to perform in an optimal way different operations, such as for example manicure or pedicure operations, simultaneously with the normal hair washing steps.

Due to its structural features, the chair is also able to ensure the wellness and the comfort of the users during its use.

Such result is obtained firstly thanks to the inventive idea of providing the chair with a washer suitable for performing pedicure operations which, being provided with a suitable lid, can be converted into a footrest. This feature evidently increases the versatility of the chair.

A further advantage offered by the hairdresser chair according to the invention is that of allowing the simultaneous performing of different activities, consequently saving time of workers and users.

In practice, the embodiment of the invention, the materials used, as well as the shape and dimensions, may vary depending on the requirements.
