Abstract:
A halloysite-based waterborne intumescent fire-retardant coating, comprising the following components, in mass percent: 20-30% of an acrylate-based emulsion, 30-36% of ammonium polyphosphate, 10-20% of pentaerythritol, 10-15% of melamine, 1-5% of titanium dioxide, 1-5% of halloysite nanotubes, 0.5-1% of hydroxyethyl cellulose, 0.5-1% of a dispersing agent, 0.5-1% of a defoaming agent, and 0.5-1% of n-octyl alcohol, with the balance being water. Also provided is a preparation method for the halloysite-based waterborne intumescent fire-retardant coating.
