Abstract:

A hand cutter including a rear scatter preventing plate (12) having a thickness substantially equal to the thickness of a cutter blade (3) and a height substantially equal to a cut depth and disposed at the same linear position as the cutter blade (3) at the back of a dust suction port (8a) of a fan casing (8) accommodating an exhaust fan (6) rotating in the interlocking arrangement with the revolution of the cutter blade (3), wherein the rear scatter preventing plate (12) is pivotally supported at the upper end thereof by the lower part of the fan casing (8) in such a manner as to be capable of rocking through a pin (14), is normally urged and caused to protrude in a vertical direction by the spring force of a coil spring (16) disposed around the pin (14) and inclined backward by the interference with a work (W) to be cut.
