Abstract:
A hand dryer enabling the elimination of such a discomfortableness that hands touch a device body in use and preventing a tightness feeling from providing to a user. The hand dryer comprises a drying compartment (10) formed in a recessed shape, a nozzle part (60) jetting hot air toward the drying compartment (10), and a fan motor (51) feeding out the air jetted from the nozzle part (60). The hand dryer is characterized in that the fan motor (51) is installed under the drying compartment (10), the nozzle part (60) is disposed on the upper side of the opening part (12) of the drying compartment (10), a nozzle cover (20) forming the nozzle part (60) is formed smaller than the opening part (12), and the entire surface of the opening part (12) is not covered by the nozzle cover (20) as viewed from the vertical direction thereof.
