Abstract:
The present invention relates to a hand dryer in which external air is introduced into a main body through a suction hole to generate a predetermined amount of drying wind by using a blower fan and a blower motor within the main body under the control of a control unit, thereby discharging the drying wind to dry the wet hands of a user. In the hand dryer, a fine filter having a mesh of about 0.2 µm to about 0.3 µm is installed on the suction hole to physically filter germs, and then ultraviolet rays are irradiated on the germs filtered by the fine filter to sterilize the filter to prevent the germs from being discharged together with the drying wind. Also, wind having a high temperature of about 80°C or more is discharged to sterilize the discharge hole, thereby preventing the germs from breeding at the discharge hole due to contact with the discharge hole when hands are dried.
