Abstract:

This hand drying device comprises: a nozzle part provided with an outlet which blows air in a predetermined blowing direction; a blower which sends to the nozzle part the air blown from the outlet; a distance sensing means for sensing the distance between the nozzle part and an object positioned away from the outlet in the blowing direction; a hand sensing means for sensing a hand inserted between the object and the nozzle part; and a control unit which sets the rotational speed of the blower on the basis of the distance sensed by the distance sensing means and drives the blower if the hand is sensed by the hand sensing means. The rotational speed set for the blower when the distance sensed by the distance sensing means is shorter than a first distance is lower than the rotational speed set for the blower when the distance sensed by the distance sensing means is the first distance.
