Abstract:
In a first control mode for controlling an inverted pendulum, when a user grasps a brake lever or the like to perform a brake operation, firstly, the control mode changes to a second control mode in which a main body part (10) is tilted rearwards. The control mode is subsequently changed to a third control mode in which an intersection angle between the main body part (10) and a support part (531) is fixed, and the rotation of wheels (11) is stopped. In this hand truck (1), in cases when the control mode is changed to the second control mode, the main body part (10) is tilted rearwards, and thus a braking effect is brought into operation while the main body part (10) is tilted rearwards, the centre of gravity of the load of the user and the weight of the main body part (10) is positioned between the wheels (11) and auxiliary wheels (530), and the hand truck (1) is in a stable state. As a result, when the user grasps the brake lever or the like to perform a brake operation, the hand truck can be stopped safely.
