Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of preventing automatic determination of a character not intended by a user. In a hand-written character input device (100), a write position determination part (109) determines the presence or absence of eccentricity of stroke position information viewed from an input area on a touch panel (101). When there is eccentricity of stroke position information, an input character is determined to be a kanji character by the write position determination part (109), and an automatic determination time control part (111) sets the automatic determination time to be longer than usual.
