Disclosed are a handheld high-pressure cleaning machine (200), comprising: a casing with a handle (210) for holding; a functional component, including an electric motor disposed within the casing and a pump driven by the electric motor; and a liquid inlet (230) disposed on the casing and capable of being connected to an external water source by a water pipe. The handheld high-pressure cleaning machine (200) also comprises an adapter (100) suitable for being connected between the liquid inlet (230) and a portable container (300), and the handheld high-pressure cleaning machine (200) is optionally connected to the external water source by the water pipe, or is connected to the portable container (300) by the adapter (100). The high-pressure cleaning machine (200) assembles the portable container (300) for containing liquid to the handheld high-pressure cleaning machine (200) by the adapter (100) so that the portable container (300) can move freely with the handheld high-pressure cleaning machine (200), and has high flexibility and provides convenience for users in short-time operation.
