Abstract:
A handheld suction device 1 comprising: a blower 2 that sucks air; an intake duct 3 that takes in rubbish on a floor surface F, through an opening end 32a, by causing air that has been sucked in by the blower 2 to flow therethrough; wheels 51, 52 that roll in a first direction as the intake duct 3 moves forward and roll in a second direction that is opposite to the first direction as the intake duct 3 moves backward; a brush 6 provided towards the rear of the opening end 32a of the intake duct 3, that rotates and sweeps rubbish D1, D2 on the floor surface F; and a rotation mechanism 7 that rotates the brush 6 on the basis of the rotation of the wheels 51, 52. The rotation mechanism 7 is configured so as to rotate the brush 6 in the second direction if the wheels 51, 52 are rotating in the first direction.
