Description:
HANDLE FOR COOKING INSTRUMENTS

The Related Art

Invention relates to a handle of aesthetic appearance used for cooking appliances. Invention particularly relates to a handle of aesthetic appearance used for ovens.

Background of the Invention

The cooking instruments used today have handles located parallel to lids. User can open-close the oven lid by holding the handle. User performs operations of putting food to be cooked into oven, fix cooking time of food by use of handle. However, handles also serve as aesthetic and decorative appearance value adding function as part of increasing competitive and marketing means. For that reason, various different methods have been developed for production of handles.

In current applications, handles are made by means of shaping filled materials by means of various workmanship at big costs. Particularly, visual defaults occur at bending points of handles formed by shaping a long bar made from metal materials. In addition, single part handles have mounting tracks on front glass. Because of such reasons, handles are produced by use of more than one part. Excessive connection parts on handle cause loss of users’ quality perception. For that reason, it is needed to soften inter-parts transition in visual terms and provide perception of handle as a whole and mount the parts practically and problem free.

The document numbered EP1898157 discloses a handle for home appliance. Said handle consists of an arm part in long bar form and at least a fixing part. Fixing part fixes arm part to a member of said home appliance at a distance. Arm part and fixing part has a uniform surface made from same material. The cost of panting said handle in different colors and coating is high and such actions deform uniform structure thereof.

The document numbered EP1762676 discloses a handle for home appliance. It consists of a handle part made in form of a long bar and at least a fixing part used to fix handle part to a member of home appliance at a distance. Handle part and fixing parts are of uniform structure. Fixing parts consist of casings surrounding them. The handle disclosed under said invention is in uniform structure which causes problems during production and shaping stages. Product diversity and design difference is only provided by means of production of casings in various types. Casings in uniform structure influences mounting and demounting negatively.

In current applications, handles having multiple parts are gathered by use of materials such as silicon or glue. However, such materials lose their features in time and handle parts displace. Handle disclosed under the invention solves such problems thanks to locking clamps.

Product diversity of handle disclosed under the invention in terms of structural parts is performed in a simple way and with saving in cost.

As a result, due to above described disadvantages and inadequacy of existing solutions, it has been necessary to make development in the related art.

Purpose of the Invention

The invention has been developed with inspiration from existing situation and aims to eliminate the above mentioned disadvantages.

Main purpose of the invention is to improve handle required for an oven in a manner to achieve any product diversity in terms of design methods in addition to low production and mounting cost. The invention uses plastic cap giving perception of full material to the hollow profile and handle instead of using full material and thus decreases production and mounting cost and provides better aesthetic appearance.

Another purpose of the invention is to provide aesthetic appearance to handles. The invention allows painting handles in different colors and coating.

A further purpose of the invention is to provide joining handle parts without need for materials such as silicon or glue thanks to locking clamps. Thus mounting and workmanship costs decrease and more durable embodiment is achieved.

In order to achieve the above mentioned purposes, the invention is a handle located on front lid of cooking devices and providing opening-closing of said front lid and it is characterized in that it consists of a profile providing grasp of said handle by user, at least a connection part placed on end parts of said profile and providing connection of said profile to said front lid, at least a profile cap located on end parts of said profile and forming a uniform structure upon placement of locking clamp thereon into locking housing on said connection part and providing perception of handle as a whole.

The structural and characteristics features of the invention and all advantages will be understood better in detailed descriptions with the figures given below and with reference to the figures, and therefore, the assessment should be made taking into account the said figures and detailed explanations.

Detailed Description of the Invention

In this detailed description, the preferred embodiments of the handle (200) being subject of the invention have been described only for purpose of better understanding of the matter.

In reference to figure 1 , the handle (200) being subject of the invention comprising a profile (210), a connection part (220) and a profile cap (230).

The handle (200) is mounted to a front lid (100) of cooking devices. The handle (200) provides opening - closing of said front lid (100). The invention is preferably mounted to the front lid (100) of ovens. The front lid (100) has at least a hole (1 10) for mounting of the handle (200) disclosed under the invention. The handle (200) is mounted to the front lid (100) by means of at least a connection member (240) passing through said hole (1 10). The connection member (240) is preferably a screw as well as can be any part providing fixing.

Profile (210) provides grasp of the handle (200) by user. When the handle (200) is mounted on the front lid (100), there will be a distance between the profile (210) and the front lid (100). Thus an area for user’s grasping handle is formed. The profile (210) is preferably made from materials such as iron, aluminum, zamak or plastic. The profile (210) is preferably produced as hollow. Thus it is easy to process and produce the profile (210). In reference to Figure 1 and Figure 2, at least a connection intermediate member (250) is located onto the profile (210). The connection intermediate member (250) provides fixing of the connection member (240) to the profile (210).

A connection part (220) is located on end parts of said profile (210). The connection part (220) provides connection of the profile (210) to the front lid (100). In reference to Figure 3, connection part (220) and the profile cap (230) are connected to form a uniform structure. The locking clamp (231 ) located on the profile cap (230) is located into locking housing (221 ) located on the connection part (220). Thus the connection part (220) and profile cap (230) are connected without need for any silicon or other glue. Connection of the connection part (220) and the profile cap (230) in such way provides not only more durable structure but also easy to mount as no extra material is needed.

Connection cap (230) is located on end parts of the profile (210). The profile cap (230) is connected to the connection member (220) and it is perceived as continuation of the profile (210). Thus it is provided to perceive the handle (200) as a single part. Profile cap (230) makes the user feel that the profile (210) is produced from full material. Profile cap (230) can be painted in different colours and coated. Thus more aesthetic appearance is given to the handle (200) and the user can be offered special handle (200) designs easily. The profile cap (230) is preferably made from materials such as plastic, zamak or bakelite by injection method.

A connection intermediate member (250) is located onto the profile (210). The connection part (220) and the profile cap (230) are connected by means of placement of a locking clamp (231 ) located on the profile cap (230) into a locking housing (221 ) located on the connection part (220). The connected connection part (220) and the profile cap (230) are located on end parts of the profile (210). The connection members (240) pass through the holes (1 10) on the front lid (100) firstly, then through connected connection part (220) and the profile cap (230) and are fixed to the connection intermediate member (250) located onto the profile (210). While the handle (200) is mounted to the front lid (100) of a cooking instrument, the above mentioned operation steps are used.
