Abstract:
A handle engagement structure for a motorcycle recoil starter is provided which is capable of more firmly fixing a handle of the recoil starter, and which is capable of protecting the handle. This handle engagement structure for a motorcycle recoil starter is provided with: a recoil starter 28 provided with a rope 32 which is pulled out by a handle 31, said recoil starter being capable of starting an engine as a result of the rope 32 being pulled out; an engine starting means separate from the recoil starter; a recoil starter cover 29 for covering the recoil starter 28; and a rope pull-out part 30 which is formed in the recoil starter cover 29, and which enables the rope 32 to be pulled out therethrough. An outer cover 34 for covering the handle 31 is attached to the recoil starter cover 29 so as to be capable of being opened and closed. Engagement means which engage with the handle 31 are formed in the outer cover 34.
