Description:
HANDLE FOR HOOPS BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the invention The invention relates to a handle of a hoop, more particularly to a hand of hoop wherein it includes a roller to be rotated while coming into contact with the hoop, a generator for generating electricity by a rotation of the roller, and a ramp unit to be operated by electricity generated by the generator so that an athletic effect and various functions can be embodied.

2. Background of the Prior Art and Related Information As is known, a hoop consists of a hoop main body which has a circular frame shape, and a handle which is attached to the rear end of the hoop main body and makes the hoop main body rotate and move by pushing it in the forward direction. The handle has a long rod shape consisting of a U-shaped lower section which encloses the hoop main body and an upper section forming a branching part.

Summary of the Invention When trundling a hoop using such a handle, a user can place the hoop under a U-shaped lower section and push the handle in the forward

direction so that the hoop rotates and moves forward. Here, in order that the hoop continues to trundle without being fallen down, the user has to continue to push the handle so that the user trundling the hoop naturally has to walk with high speed or run. Therefore, the user can plan an athletic effect as well as an entertainment in accordance with playing.

Such a hoop and handle can plan the athletic and entertainment effect simultaneously as described above, but it should be too simple for modern people. So, some hoop and handle has a device which can measure the rotation number of the hoop and display it on the handle.

However, it is not beyond a simple measurement of an athletic amount and has to have a separate battery for driving the device.

The handle of the present invention includes a rotation roller which comes into contact with a hoop main body and makes rotation, a generator for generating electricity in accordance with the rotation of the roller, and a lamp unit which is applied and driven with the electricity.

So, it stimulates the user's curiosity more than playing the hoop simply, and increases a physical strength since the user continues to trundle the hoop. Also, the hoop can be limited to children and used for adults so that it can be used for increasing a national physical strength.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Fig. 1 shows perspective view of the hoop in accordance with the present invention.

Fig. 2 shows a sectional view along A-A'line of Fig. 1.

Fig. 3 shows a circuit constitutional view in case that the present invention includes a rechargeable battery and a switch.

Fig. 4 shows another embodiment of the present invention.

Fig. 5 shows a sectional view along B-B'line of Fig. 4.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION Now, the present invention will be described in accordance with some embodiments.

As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, a handle 1 of the present invention includes a roller 3 which is placed under the handle and protrudes forward so that it rotates while coming into contact with a hoop main body. The handle also includes a generator 4 attached on the rear section of the roller 3, which includes a permanent magnet 4b fixed around the axis 4a and a coil 4c for generating electricity in inductive action with the permanent magnetic 4b. An axis 3a of the roller 3 and an axis 4a of the generation 4 are connected using a belt 5. The handle 1 also includes an electric unit 6 such as a lamp, a melody generator, a

game machine etc. in the middle of the handle in the upper direction, which is applied and driven with electricity generated in the generator 4.

In the figures, the electric unit 6 is shown as a lamp unit 6a for an illustrative purpose.

The roller 3 is formed as an adhesive material such as a polyurethane material or covered with an adhesive material in order to increase an adhesive strength with the hoop main body. Since the roller 3 protrudes in the forward direction of the handle 1, the corresponding hoop main body continuously has guide groove in the middle of it along a circumference direction in order to closely contact with the roller 3 formed protuberantly.

In case that the electric unit 6 is a lamp unit 6a or a melody generator, it can receive electricity and be driven just after the generator generates electricity. However, in case that the electric unit 6 needs to be driven continuously or needs a continuous electricity application such as game machine, a separate rechargeable battery 7 is needed as shown in Fig. 3, which is placed between the generator 7 and the electric unit 6.

And there is a switch between the electric unit 6 and the rechargeable battery 7.

A reference number 9 unexplained in Fig. 2 shows a lead line which deliveries electricity generated in the generator 4 to the electric

unit 6, and a number 11 shows a bracket to support the generator, to the hoop.

An. operation of the handle of the hoop in accordance with the present invention is explained as follows.

Firstly, if the hoop main body is elected and the handle is pushed in the state that the roller 3 of the handle 1 is inserted into a guide groove, the hoop main body starts to trundle and moves forward. And if the handle 1 continues to be pushed, the hoop main body can still move straight without being fallen down.

As the hoop main body moves forward, the user has to walk with high speed or run so that the user can gain physical strength and entertainment effects simultaneously.

The roller 3 starts to rotate as the guide groove of the hoop main body and the roller 3 of the handle 1 come into contact each other.

Then the rotational power is delivered to the generator 4 through a belt 5 and a rotational axis 4a of the generator 4 can be rotated so that a permanent magnet 4b fixed around the rotational axis 4a of the generator 4 is rotated and occurs the inductive action with a coil 4c. Therefore, the generator generates electricity.

If electricity can be generated from the generator 4, the electricity is applied to the electric unit 6 through a lead line 9 directly,

and the lamp 6a can be turned on or a melody can be generated.

Accordingly, if the user simply trundles the hoop main body, the lamp 6a turns on or the melody can be generated so that the user experiences another interest and then can continue to operate the hoop trundling, and the user can increase his or her physical strength and release stresses.

Also, if the handle 1 has the rechargeable battery 7 and the switch 8, it is clear that the generated electricity can be charged in the battery 7 and the lamp 6a can be turned on or the melody can be generated continuously. Especially, if the electric unit 6 is a game machine, the user can also enjoy the game machine while he or she stops the operation of the hoop trundling for rest.

Figs. 4 and 5 show another embodiment wherein the lower section of the handle 1 is formed as a U-shaped and the roller 3 is placed inside the U-shaped section 10 in the horizontal direction. And the axis 3a of the roller 3 is extended and the permanent magnet 4b of the generator 4 is fixed around the extended portion. Therefore, even though the total volume of the handle can be enlarged, there is another merit that a certain member such as the belt is not needed and the guide groove needs not to be formed, while it maintaining the same effects with the first embodiment.

A variety of other possible modifications and additional embodiments are also clearly possible and fall within the scope of the present invention. Accordingly, the described specific embodiments and implementations should not be viewed as in any sense limiting in nature and are merely illustrative of the present invention.
