Abstract:

A handoff control method, a base station and a repeater in a wireless access system. They perform the handoff control in a mobile multi-hop relay wireless access system so as to wider area coverage. A handoff control method in the wireless access system, the wireless system comprises a mobile station, a base station for receiving and sending information via the wireless system, and a repeater for relaying and forwarding the information between the mobile station and the base station under the base station control, characterized in that the method comprises: the repeater measure and determining step in which the repeater measures the information and determines whether to relay and forward the information, and the base station measure and handoff step in which the base station measures the information and determines whether to handoff.
