Abstract:
Disclosed by the embodiments of the present invention are a handover method, base station, and terminal, said method comprising: a base station configuring a narrow-bandwidth reception mode handover message, said handover message containing a time to instruct a terminal to enter said narrow-bandwidth reception mode and the position of the narrow bandwidth on the frequency band at the time of entry into said narrow-bandwidth reception mode; sending said handover message to the terminal and instructing the terminal to switch to the narrow bandwidth designated by the handover message and receive information, the width of said narrow bandwidth being smaller than the width of the system bandwidth. Using the embodiments of the present invention, it is possible to cause a terminal to receive a signal on a narrow bandwidth, facilitating the reduction of power consumption of the terminal.
