Provided is a handrail thermal protection sleeve, comprising a protective sleeve (1), a heating element (2), and connecting tenons (4); the protective sleeve (1) is formed by combining two pieces of protective tiles, the cross-section of a first protective tile (1-1) being semi-circular and the cross-section of the second protective tile (1-2) being semi-elliptical; the two pieces of protective tiles (1-1, 1-2) are assembled and closed to form an accommodating space at the interior thereof, being used for accommodating a handrail (5) and the heating element (2); the heating element (2) extends along the axial direction of the protective sleeve (1); the heating element (2) is fixed on a side of the handrail; an inner wall of the first protective tile (1-1) fits with the handrail (5), and a chamber is formed between a second protective tile (1-2) and the handrail (5) to accommodate the heating element (2); the wall thickness of the two pieces of protective tiles (1-1, 1-2) is even, and the joining portions of the protective tiles are opened with mortises; after assembly, the two protective tiles (1-1, 1-2) are circumferentially locked and fixedly connected by means of the connecting tenons provided within the mortises. The thermal protection sleeve covers the straight sections as well as the bent sections of the handrail, being capable of preventing safety accidents from occurring.
