A hanger (31), a clothes folding machine and a control method for the clothes folding machine, the clothes folding machine comprising a hanger conveying unit (3), a folding unit (1), and a storage unit (2), and further comprising a hanger (31) and a trigger mechanism, wherein the trigger mechanism has various embodiments; said trigger mechanism has a driving member (142) and a moving member (141) movable under the driving of the driving member (142); said moving member (141) applies an acting force to a drawing and folding switch (315) for triggering the drawing and folding switch (315) to draw in and fold a clothes supporting arm (312), or is triggered by means of electromagnetism; the trigger mechanism has a simple structure and is easy to implement, and may achieve a good triggering effect; and the trigger mechanism may further be provided with a sensor for determining a relative position of the hanger (31) so as to achieve a more precise triggering process. Both the movement and the triggering may be performed by means of a magnetic force, thus saving the space and ensuring that the hanger (31) may be accurately triggered.
