Abstract:
A harmonic drive device having three-dimensional modified involute tooth profile includes
a flexible gear with external teeth. A wave generator, comprising a cam and a flexible
bearing, is set in the bore of the flexible gear. The external teeth of the flexible
gear are engaged with the internal teeth of a rigid gear. Along the external teeth
of the flexible gear, we can choose several sections that are vertical with the
axis of the flexible gear. Then design the involute profile of the flexible gear
and the rigid gear according to the different radial deformation coefficient,
and achieve the involute profiles having continuously variational parameters
along the length direction of the teeth. For the harmonic drive device of this
invention, the contact area of the engaging teeth is increased, teeth engaging
situation is improved. It's convenient to process and the manufacture
cost is low.
