This invention is characterized by a device that secures a hat onto a person's earlobes, being placed either around the whole earlobe or just behind and at the bottom of the earlobe, to be secured in the internal part of the earlobe with the help of a sphere, hooks or the like. Two fixing points for each earlobe provide more efficient support; they can be fixed with Velcro for ease of fitting and removal from the hat; size can be adjusted with the help of a knot or rubber pieces.
Prior Art
The majority of hats available on the market do not have a securing device, which makes their use difficult under windy conditions.
The commonly known device is fixed around a person's neck, but is rarely used for reason of aesthetics and comfort.
Exposition of Invention
This invention makes it possible for hats to be secured efficiently, comfortably and discreetly. The device fits around the earlobe or behind and at the bottom of the earlobe, to be secured inside the earlobe by means of a hook, a sphere or similar. Preferably, it should be secured at two points for each earlobe. The device can be used with untied hair. It's only a case of releasing the threads, after securing them. Velcro can be used for easier fitting into hats. The size of straps can be adjusted by means of a knot or rubber pieces, through which the thread is threaded through twice.
The ribbons onto which the straps or hooks are fixed can be hair colored. Nevertheless, even in a different color they are invisible, as they remain hidden behind the earlobes. The straps and hook supports can be made of transparent silicone threads, but also other materials can be employed or even some ornament to highlight the pieces, such as pendants, beads, etc. Description of Drawings

The Best Way of Manufacturing This Invention
Melt one end of an approximately 0,5 mm thick silicone thread ( 1 ). Thread it through the type of needle that has an opening at the top part of its eye. The needle is passed through a small piece of folded rubberized fabric (4), which serves as support. It is then passed around a piece of ribbon (2) and back again around the same piece of rubberized fabric (4). A slightly larger piece of fabric is folded around the ribbon (2) and its edges are joined together with the thread (1), making the second support (4). After introducing the needle once around this support (4), a knot is tied in the thread (1), in order to pass it in the opposite direction. The end of thread (1) can then be fixed onto the first support (4), the needle is removed and the end of the thread ( 1 ) can also be melted. This remainder thread (1) can be loosened, by untying the knot with the tip of a pin. By enlarging the size of the strap, it can also be used on a hat that's worn high on the head or angling to one side. The end of the thread (2) where the first support (4) is positioned, is sewn onto a strip of Velcro (3) approximately 5 cm long. Measure the place where the first support (4) must be positioned and the place where the other end of the ribbon (2) must be stitched, and stitch it onto the other side of the Velcro strip (3) and cut off the loose ends of ribbon and sewing thread.
The strap must be pulled in order to secure the first support (4).
One side of the Velcro strip (3) is used on each side to form a pair of straps, making it easy to put in position.
Prior to use, the strap must be measured around the earlobe. After the length of the strap is defined, the knot on the thread (1) can be fastened.
To secure the straps onto the hat, strips of adhesive Velcro (3) of approximately 5cm are glued onto the inner edge of the crown of the hat (7), beside each earlobe, one strip on either side.
Fixing can be reinforced by sewing or stapling it onto the ribbon that is commonly used as lining on the edge of the crown of a hat (7).
Possible Industrial Application This invention can be manufactured to be sold in pairs or as a set with adhesive Velcro straps, to be fitted onto any type of hat.
It can also be introduced within the manufacturing process of hats, to be fitted with or without the use of Velcro.
