Abstract:

In embodiments of this head adjustment method, head-driving device and image-forming device, using the position of the last module (12-5), among multiple head modules (12-1 to 12-5), that is disposed on the most downstream side in the conveyance direction of the print medium with respect to a line head (10) as a reference, the amount of positional deviation of each head module is specified and the value corresponding to the sum of an offset (Fs), which is larger than the mounting tolerance of the head module in the direction parallel to the conveyance direction, added to said positional deviation amount is determined as the correction amount for the respective head module. The respective print timings of the head modules are controlled on the basis of said correction amounts. When some of the head modules are exchanged, only the correction amounts for the exchanged modules need be revised. As a result, it is possible to simplify the adjustment of printing positions in the Y-direction (sheet conveyance direction) when head modules are exchanged in a line head configured from multiple head modules.
