Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: a head cleaning apparatus which is capable of cleaning an ejection surface of an inkjet head more adequately than conventional head cleaning apparatuses; an inkjet printer; and a head cleaning method.
[Solution] This head cleaning apparatus (100) is characterized by comprising: a cleaning liquid retention tank (110) which internally retains a cleaning liquid (100a) for cleaning an ejection surface (24a) of an inkjet head (24) that has the ejection surface (24a) for ejecting an ink; a removal unit (140) for removing dirt from the ejection surface (24a) in a state where the ejection surface (24a) is immersed in the cleaning liquid (100a) in the cleaning liquid retention tank (110); and a wiper (161) for wiping the cleaning liquid (100a) that remains on the ejection surface (24a) after removal of the dirt by means of the removal unit (140). This head cleaning apparatus (100) is also characterized in that the removal unit (140) and the wiper (161) are disposed in the same cleaning liquid retention tank (110).
