Abstract:
A head for a DF coater wherein the length of a curtain film in the width direction thereof can be adjusted, paint does not leak from the portion of a nozzle, the portion not forming the curtain film, and impasto at the edge of the curtain film is prevented.
The head is provided with: a lip-sealing block (13) which, in order to adjust the width dimension of the curtain film (3a), seals the lower-end lip (5a) of the portion of a nozzle (5), the portion not forming the curtain film (3a); a deckle sheet (12) which is inserted into the nozzle (5) in accordance with the end of the curtain film (3a) in the width direction thereof, thereby forming a nozzle space (17) in an upper portion sealed with the lip-sealing block (13); and a chamber seal (11) which demarcates the inside of a paint chamber (4) in accordance with the end of the curtain film (3a) in the width direction thereof, thereby forming a chamber space (16) in the upper portion sealed with the lip-sealing block (13).
