Abstract:
A left panel 12a has a portion larger in size than a left lens 14a, and a left-eye image displayed in an area of the left panel 12a exceeding the size of the left lens 14a, is not visually recognized by the user. A right panel 12b has a portion larger in size than a right lens 14b, and a right-eye image displayed in an area of the right panel 12b exceeding the size of the right lens 14b is not visually recognized by the user. An HMD 10 stores a display start position of left-eye image and a display start position of right-eye image. The HMD 10 acquires a left-eye image having a size corresponding to the size of the left lens 14a and a right-eye image having a size corresponding to the size of the right lens 14b, which images are generated by an external device. The HMD 10 causes the left-eye image to be displayed from the display start position of left-eye image stored in advance and causes the right-eye image to be displayed from the display start position of right-eye image stored in advance.
