Abstract:
This head-mounted display (HMD1) comprises a first display element (OPS1) and a second display element (OPS2) which shine light onto a second portion (FP2). A first portion (FP1) is equipped with a first opening (VP1) and a second opening (VP2) which is separate from the first opening. The second portion (FP2) is equipped with a first optical element portion (OPE1) which faces the first opening portion in a first direction, and a second optical element portion (OPE2) which faces the second opening in the first direction. The first optical element portion (OPE1) and second optical element portion (OPE2) of the second portion both have a reflecting portion (RFP) which reflects light shone from the first display element or the second display element, and a light transmittance adjustment portion (LTP) which controls the transmittance of external light from the second portion to the first portion on the basis of a signal output from a light transmittance control circuit. The reflecting portion (RFP) is positioned between the light transmittance adjustment portion (LTP) and the first portion (FP1).
