Abstract:
An illumination device 1 comprises: a body 3 which is provided with a band-like portion 3a to be mounted so as to follow the circumference of the head of a wearer; a housing case 5 with which the body 3 is fitted and which, when worn on the wearer, is positioned in the forehead region of the wearer; and a light source unit 20 which is incorporated into the housing case 5 and provided with an LED substrate having a plurality of LED light sources mounted thereon. The light source unit 20 comprises: a collecting lens which collects light emitted from the plurality of LED light sources; a reflecting mirror which deflects the light exiting the collecting lens and reflecting the light toward a diseased area of a patient; and a heatsink 70 for dissipating heat from the LED substrate which extends from the forehead region of the wearer toward the vertex region.
