Abstract:
A head-up display device according to the present invention is installed in a moving body, and displays a virtual image by projecting and reflecting display light of an image onto a projection member in order to allow an occupant to view the image, the head-up display device including a light-emitting element array (10), an image forming part (50), and an optical member (30). The light-emitting element array (10) comprises a plurality of light-emitting elements (10a) for emitting illumination light aligned along an element alignment direction (AD). The image forming part (50) forms an image in accordance with the illumination from the illumination light and outputs the image as display light. The optical member (30) is disposed on an optical path between the light-emitting element array (10) and the image forming part (50), and includes a diffusion part (70) that diffuses the illumination light from each light emitting element (10a) along the element alignment direction (AD). The diffusion part (70) includes one or more refractive surfaces (72) that diffuses and refracts the illumination light.
