Abstract:
Provided are: a head-up display device with which it is possible to reduce reaction force, and with which it is possible to reduce the adhesion area; and a method for manufacturing the head-up display device. A head-up display device 10 that emits a display light L toward a front glass (transmissive member) 2 positioned on the outside, and makes a virtual image V visible using the display light L reflected by the front glass 2, wherein the head-up display device 10 comprises a display unit 20 and a case 40 that contains the display unit 20 and has an opening 42 that transmits the display light L generated by the display unit 20 to the outside, a light-transmissive cover 50 formed in a shape corresponding to the curved surface shape of the opening 42 being attached to the opening 42.
