Abstract:
In this head-up display device, illuminating light from each of light-emitting elements (12) is used to illuminate a corresponding area of an image forming unit (30) and form an image. A light-collecting section (14) comprises a plurality of lens elements (15a) that form pairs with the individual light-emitting elements. The light-collecting lens elements (15a) comprise a light-collecting surface (17) that collects the illuminating light. A z direction is defined as the direction connecting the surface apex (17a) of a light-collecting surface and a light-emitting element forming a pair therewith. An x direction and a y direction are also defined, said x direction and said y direction being orthogonal to each other on a virtual plane orthogonal to the z direction. The pairs of the light-collecting lens elements and the light-emitting elements are arranged with at least one of the x direction and the y direction serving as the arrangement direction (AD) thereof. Each light-collecting surface is formed to have a convex surface shape in which the curvature in the x direction and the curvature in the y direction differ from each other.
