Abstract:
[Problem] To increase the size of the display of a head-up display device and make it easier for a driver to recognize important information. [Solution] An AR-HUD 1, wherein a vehicle information acquisition unit 10 acquires various types of vehicle information 4 that can be detected by a vehicle 2. A control unit 20 controls the display of an image to be displayed on a display region visible through a windshield 3 from the driver seat of the vehicle 2 on the basis of the vehicle information 4 acquired by the vehicle information acquisition unit 10. An image display device 30 generates an image on the basis of the instruction from the control unit 20. A display distance adjusting mechanism 40 adjusts the display distance of a virtual image with respect to a driver. The display region controlled by the control unit 20 has a first display region and a second display region located above the first display region. The first display region is a region displaying augmented reality, and the second display region is a region not displaying augmented reality.
