Abstract:
The present invention suppresses stray light. A head-up display device H according to the present disclosure is provided with: a backlight unit 1; a liquid crystal panel 3 that is illuminated by the backlight unit 1 from the rear face thereof and that emits display light L from the front face thereof; and a case 6 that accommodates the backlight unit 1 and the liquid crystal panel 3. The case 6 includes: a backlight-unit case 61 that supports the backlight unit 1; and a liquid-crystal-panel case 62 that supports the liquid crystal panel 3. The liquid-crystal-panel case 62 includes: a front-face frame section 621 having an opening 621a for passing the display light L and forming the edge of the front-face side of the liquid crystal panel 3; an outer wall section 622 extending in the advancing direction of the display light L from the front-face frame section 621 and forming a portion of the outer wall of the case 6; and a frame-shaped support section 623 extending in the opposite direction of the advancing direction of the display light L from the front-face frame section 621 and supporting the liquid crystal panel 3.
