Abstract:

A head-up display device mounted in a moving body and allowing an occupant to view a virtual image based on the reflected image of projection light from a projection unit, wherein: the projection unit is provided with an intermediate film, and a first glass plate arranged outside the cabin of the moving body and a second glass plate arranged inside the cabin of the moving body facing each other with the intermediate film interposed therebetween; the first glass plate is provided with a first principal surface exposed outside the cabin and a second principal surface opposite the first principal surface; the second glass plate is provided with a fourth principal surface exposed inside the cabin and a third principal surface opposite the fourth principal surface; the first glass plate and the second glass plate are provided with a tin surface where tin can be detected and a non-tin surface having a lower concentration of tin than the tin surface; the fourth principal surface is provided with the tin surface; and the virtual image is based on a first reflected image formed on the fourth principal surface.
