Abstract:
Provided is a head-up display device making it possible to curb the occurrence of a lens flare caused by the Sun. This head-up display device 200 is provided with: a display element 11 for displaying an image; an intermediate screen 19; a first optical system 15 for projecting, as an intermediate image TI on the intermediate screen 19, an image formed on the display element 11; a second optical system 17 for magnifying and projecting, as a virtual image, the intermediate image TI that is on the intermediate screen 19; and a rotational drive unit 64, which is a projection distance modification device for causing the intermediate image TI on the intermediate screen 19 to move in an optical axis AX direction. The intermediate screen 19 is accommodated within a hollow frame 16b to which is provided a light emission member 16h that is light-transmissive, and rotates along with the frame 16b. An outer surface 64a, which is a light emission surface of the frame 16b, is inclined with respect to the optical axis AX.
