Abstract:
This head-up display (100) allows an observer to view a virtual image by projecting an image on a windshield (220). The head-up display (100) is provided with a display device (110) and a projection optical system (120). The projection optical system (120) includes a refractive optical system (121) and a concave mirror (122). The display device (110) displays a display image. The projection optical system (120) projects the display image shown on the display device (110) onto the viewpoint of the observer. The refractive optical system (121) includes at least one optical element. The concave mirror (122) has a concave reflective surface. The refractive optical system (121) is positioned on the optical path between the display device (110) and the concave mirror (122). The light from the display image displayed on the display device (110) is first incident onto the concave surface of an optical element.
