Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a head-up display whereby the effect, on an optical component, of sunlight incident on a HUD is reduced. A head-up display (1) is provided with: an exterior casing (50); a video light formation unit (10) for forming and emitting video light, the video light formation unit (10) being accommodated in the exterior casing (50); a casing opening (51) through which video light is emitted, the casing opening (51) being formed in the exterior casing (50); an antiglare plate (52) for covering the casing opening (51); and a concave mirror (41) for reflecting the video light toward the antiglare plate (52); the video light formation unit (10) being disposed in a position withdrawn from the optical path of rectilinear propagation of sunlight incident on the inside of the exterior casing and rectilinearly propagated from an emission region of the antiglare plate (52) from which the video light is emitted, the position being withdrawn also from the optical path of the video light reaching the emission region of the antiglare plate (52) from the video light formation unit (10).
